We went to IKEA yesterday. Wow! Mark and I, plus our girls and 10 year old niece and my dad and step-mom went to the Portland store. We had lunch, which wasn't too bad. Then we followed the arrows. And followed, and followed. Talk about over-whelming! It was fun to see some ideas for things we might want for the house. We went in knowing we weren't going to buy anything, but wrote down several things of interest. And c'mon, anyone who can outfit a home functionally in 600 square feet or less, has to be cool.
The highlight of our trip was running into Gina and Tiffany. Mark and Gina grew up together, and have been best friends since birth. We don't see them too often, but love getting to talk to them. And of course, how odd to run into them at IKEA.
We are still in vacation mode, and can't seem to get too excited about the new house until we actually sign the papers. But, I can always get excited about shopping.
